The New Balance 2002R is inspired by NB’s MR2002 runner from back in 2010, bringing you a technical, refreshed and versatile street shoe. Some classic lines, suede overlays and hits of mesh show off the signature NB details, pairing nicely with nearly anything in your modern wardrobe.
ABZORB and ACTEVA technology foams in the midsole and heel help ensure flexible comfort throughout, adding a modern pod look to the rear, while the springy N-ergy outsole ensures durable traction while absorbing blows with every footfall. NB’s Stability Web technology also adds arch support.

Founded by William J. Riley in 1906, New Balance started small, producing highly flexible, three-point arch supports for those that suffered discomfort wearing shoes, all inspired by the daily balancing acts performed by Williams’ own backyard chickens as they nimbly navigated the coop. Rolling on to 1972, under new owner Jim Davis, New Balance foresaw a shift in the market.
